The summer of 2011 started off like any other summer with the usual parties and the usual encounters, abundantly accompanied by divine drinks and satanic food and otherwise. And when the guests that appear on these events turn out to be musicians the conversations direct almost automatically towards the success some of their concerts, songs or bands had. Likewise for the future members of kNIGHTs after these standard stories and introduction, the party went a more interesting level. It looked as if these two men had an almost similar goal.
5 years ago in june, Patrick Skene and Tom De Geeter started Marathon of Dope in Kortrijk, Belgium and Winnipeg, Canada.
30 records later by acts like Mike Ladd, Infinite Livez, Passage, Birdapres, John Smith, Nomad, Elissa P, Zucchini Drive, Pip Skid, Rob Crooks, The Gumshoe Strut and others, we celebrate our 5th anniversary in style on the 8th of june in Textielhuis, Kortrijk, Belgium.
