Birdapres
Birdapres is uncomfortable around cameras and nervous on stage. He would rather spend an afternoon looking through records than a night on the town. He’s a bundle of mellow nerves.
With a discography that dates back to before the turn of the century, Birdapres is a songman in that old time tradition, before the internet put even the most obscure artist into iTunes rotation. His work with people like DJ Moves, Gordski and mcenroe is the stuff of alleged legend, grist for some future VH-1.
Currently, Birdapres has teamed up with Manitoba beatmaker Thizzy Asper to bring you new sights and colors in sound. Thizzy’s previous work with Pip Skid was only a taste of what was to come, this new Toothpaste EP the beginning of a new musical partnership. Since it’s completion, the team has been holed up in a Winnipeg attic working on another project. As the wise Tom Petty once said, “The Future Is Wide Open”.
